So February has been busy here in Thame Shed. Not only have members been busing, making toys, boxes and even bars! We have also carried out a couple of projects for people in the community.
The Red Kite Family Centre in Thame asked us to refurbish their beloved train set. Well, OK, it wasn’t exactly HS2 in scale, but on the other hand, we didn’t have to keep closing major roads every weekend to carry it out.
A couple of members took on the task and made a splendid job of bringing it back to its former glory

Start with a box of bits

Come up with a layout

Commission it for use.
and it didn’t take £80+M or ten years to do!
The second project was an illuminated globe kit, which its owner had started before his death. We assembled it and handed it back to his widow, complete with its lights.

Don’t forget. If you have a project you’d like to share with the rest of the group, please let us know. It doesn’t have to be earth shattering. Because all projects are important to the maker. And then we can show we don’t just sit around drinking coffee all morning (although we do a lot of that as well.)
We are looking to build a pedal cart to enter into this year’s Kop Hill Challenge and are looking for people to get involved.
If you are interested, please put your name on the board or let John Fowler know.
